HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and safety is built into how the job is designed, planned, and delivered from the outset. It is dealt with early, applied consistently, and carried through the project. The aim is to avoid the kind of issues that create risk, delay, or problems once work starts on site.

Health & safety commitment

Health and safety sits with the business. It is not passed on or treated as someone else’s responsibility. Standards are set internally and expected to be met. Work is planned thoroughly, carried out safely, and not compromised when pressure comes on programme or cost.

Compliance & industry standards

Work is delivered in line with recognised standards and statutory requirements. CHAS and Construction Line Gold are in place and support pre-qualification. Building safety and higher-risk elements are addressed as part of the job, so compliance stands up when it is reviewed or challenged

Training & workforce competence

The people doing the work are matched to it. ECS or CSCS cards align with their trade, not just general access. Supervisors and managers hold SSSTS and SMSTS. That gives control on site and avoids the issues that come from putting the wrong people into the wrong roles.

Risk management & site controls

Risk is managed by understanding the job, planning it thoroughly, and controlling it as it progresses. Labour levels, sequencing, and coordination are dealt with early. What is planned is what happens on site, not something that only exists on paper.

Safety culture & leadership

Standards come from the top and run through the team. Expectations are clear and based on experience. The job is done to the right standard first time. That reduces the need for constant checking and keeps safety where it should be without relying on outside pressure.

Monitoring & continuous improvement

Work is reviewed as it progresses, with structured reporting in place. Health and safety sits alongside programme and quality. Issues are picked up early and dealt with. Feedback from projects is used to maintain standards and improve how work is delivered.

Client & project delivery commitment

Health and safety is tied directly to delivery. The job is planned and managed to meet programme targets while maintaining safe conditions. Inspections and approvals are supported by how the work is carried out, avoiding delays, risks, or unnecessary complications.
